Codex Musique
exploreplayOne song. A whole studio.
I wanted to fix an old song: bring my voice forward, make the words clearer and give the guitar more personality. Normally, I’d re-record and edit in Audacity, Adobe Audition or BandLab.
But it’s the future. Why just fix my song when I can rethink the entire process?
I already know generating a song from scratch has become ridiculously easy.
This time, the question is different: what can be done to an existing piece? Can I build all the tools to do it again?
And so, Codex Musique was born.
With Codex, I brought together my recordings, original sessions and lyrics to compare mixes from separate vocal takes, not just one MP3.
I went app-hunting through Pinokio, trained a model of my singing voice in Applio, and experimented with Maestro (ACE-Step) and SeedVC.
Now I’ve got a little listening room to compare mixes and save favourites. The voice still needs work. Of course it does.
Still an experiment. Still my song.
One song. A few versions later.
